Buying in Spain has never been
easier and in spite of some problems, Spain still remains the No. 1
destination for holiday, retirement and investment homes abroad.
Whether it’s a small apartment, a bungalow or a villa with your own
private pool, on a golf course, Murcia and the Costa Blanca in Spain
have a wide range of homes to suit all budgets.
The Costa Blanca is well known for its beautiful beaches and good
infrastructures. Excellent bus services, new roads, a brand new
hospital with English speaking staff, a wide range of pubs, restaurants
and clubs to dance the night away – if that’s your “thing”. Of course
let’s not forget the greatest hobby of all - “shopping”. In the last
four years shopping malls have been built along the coast and at city
centres in Alicante, Elche and Murcia. All the major brand names can
be found:- Etam, Zara, H&M, C&A plus many other high class
boutiques. Sports equipment and clothing is now “big business” and the
variety of stores means that prices are very competitive.
On the subject of sport – fancy Go-Carts, Scuba Diving, Horse Riding?
Golf of course features strongly on the Costa Blanca, with golf courses
at Villa Martin, La Finca, Las Ramblas, La Serena, Polaris resorts and
La Hacienda del Alamo.
Buying a home for investment, off plan is an excellent way to provide
for your retirement on a long term basis. With traditional pensions
under much discussion, the trend is to build a portfolio of property,
both in the UK and overseas. The luxury golf complexes such as Polaris
and La Hacienda offer excellent value to purchase a 1st class property
with as little as just 15% deposit. These luxury homes do increase in
value as the project is built and completed but should be viewed as a
long term investment.
Mortgages are available on property on the Costa Blanca and Murcia,
with up to 80% of the value of the property. Investment projects such
as La Finca, Villa Martin, Polaris World and La Hacienda del Alamo have
partner banks that can often offer higher mortgages. Non status
mortgages are now available up to 60% of the value of the property.
